If you are using Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019, you should not experience problems with audio playback. If you are using Windows Server 2012, you need to install a virtual sound card driver, for example, VB-CABLE Virtual Audio Device and restart the server.

If the problem is not resolved after that, then follow these steps: on your local computer, press the Win+R keyboard shortcut and enter the gpedit.msc command in the window that appears
Next, select: Computer configuration -> Administrative templates -> Windows components -> Remote desktop services -> Remote desktop session host -> Device and resource redirection) In the window that opens, double-click to Allow redirection of audio and video playback, click "Enable" and "Allow redirection of audio recording" if necessary. After that, save the changes.
